"Fat Bastard"

I have recorded another song, due to release for my upcoming album, or for other materials. I've created this song using Fruity Loop 8, which is an upgrade version of the previous Fruity Loop 7 XXL that I have used. I noticed quite a few changes. I like the Acoustic Guitar preset, but I hate that Master Limiter.

For "Fat Bastard", I used a very simple beat loop that can be created by anybody.. using Kick, Clap, Hat and Snare. I inserted another preset, which is "DirectWave". I modified quite a lot of settings in there, until I satisfied with it's "violin" sound. I have used violin sounds before, which is in my previous work, "Berguguran", but it doesn't come out as the main instrument of the song. However, "Fat Bastard" relies heavily on this "violin" sound for its melody. As for the mixer, I applied "Bass Booster" and accidentally using "Fruity Vocoder" for its Kick. Wow, it comes out pretty nice 'kick' in the ass!

The lyric, I made in just short of 10 minutes. Amazing huh? It's in English, that's why I'm speaking in English right now. Hehe. The whole song took me less than 3 hours to finish. The lyric is quite long, quite properly structured... contains very subtle and flowerish words I have ever used! However, beware of its vulgar words. I have produced a 'clean' version. I can't tell you what this song is all about, but I can tell you, people with bigger butt, waistline and too many sticky fatty tissues in their body can relate themselves to this song. Feel insulted? Well, I wrote this song about me - and you too, you 'fat bastard'. Gotcha! Hehe.

Lagu ni asalnya ialah lagu Simply Red iaitu "If You Don't Love Me By Now". Ciara mmg pandai buat lagu ni cantik. Instrumental lagu ni pun boleh didapati di internet. Cari jer.. bersepah2 kat luar sana. Lagu ni mmg susah dibawa, sbb Ciara mempunyai vokal "whispering" dan "breathy". Mmg habis banyak nafas bawak lagu ni, kalau cepat semput tu aku nasihatkan tak perlu lah nak bawak lagu ni. Falsetto nya jugak mencabar. Tapi yang hairannya, part rapping taklah susah mana pun.

Aku mula terfikir, lagu "Sedetik Nyawaku" ni boleh tahan jugak liriknya. Jadi aku cuba nak memperkuatkan melodinya. Jadi instead of aku modify melodinya, aku fikir aku nak buat versi remix. Tapi kali ni, melodi lain, lirik sama. Korang boleh cuba dengarlah.

"Naluri Seksual"

Hari ini, aku telah mencipta sebuah lagu namanya, "Naluri Seksual". Tajuk lagu ni mungkin nampak kelucahan dan sedikit taboo, tapi kalau korang dengar, korang mungkin tak nampak satu pun baris ayat menceritakan pasal seks. Lagu ni agak bermakna buat aku sbb satunya, lagu ni ialah lagu balada/slow number pertama yang aku buat. Menggunakan soundfont piano yang aku penat2 cari kat internet, akhirnya aku berjaya menghasilkan sebuah lagu balada yang simple, tetapi sarat mesej.

OK, mungkin korang fikir nampak macam taboo, tapi lagu ni korang boleh jugak aplikasikan untuk cinta terlarang pasangan straight. Cuma pasangan LGBT lebih sesuai aku rasa. Hari ni, idea mencurah-curah pulak datang. Itulah orang kata, ilham ni kita kena tunggu dia datang, barulah mencurah-curah datang. Aku sebenarnya buat lagu ni khas untuk Palestin. Disebabkan aku taknak nampak corny, jadi aku buat liriknya lebih berkias sikit. Aku memikirkan elemen tentera untuk lagu ni, jadi aku tambah effect drumroll dalam setiap block melodi. Ok tak? Hehe. "Mari Berasmara"

Haha.. tajuk pun dah sesuatu, jadi haruslah korang akan rasa horny bila dengar lagu ni. Lagu ni ialah versi "dirty" untuk lagu "Mari Bersama". Dirty bukan sebab lirik lagunya. Aku berani jamin lagu ni takder mencarut, tapi disebabkan ada bunyi mendesah, merengus, stim2 gitu.. jadi aku labelkan sebagai "dirty" lah. Tak mungkin akan main kat radio di Malaysia ni, so korang cuma akan dengar lagu ni kat sini sahajok.

Lagu ni sebenarnya menceritakan pasal seseorang ni, dah ada kekasih, tapi masih jugak nak main dengan org lain gituh. Disebabkan kekasih dia ni jauh, jadi dia macam tak kisah nak main dengan orang lain. Open relationship lah gitu. Takder kaitan dengan aku yer.

Lagu ni agak upbeat, dan kali ni aku cuba bermain dengan dram ala2 Brazil gitu. Jadi lagu ni kalau dengar macam ada rentak tango sikit. Cara aku nyanyi pun macam tango. So, enjoy!

Aku ingin mengucapkan Selamat Tahun Baru Cina, gong xi gong xi.. selamat Imlek kepada semua yang berbangsa Cina tak kiralah di mana sahaja. Malam tadi, aku macam terasa nak bawak lagu Gong Xi Fa Chai, sbb aku ni memang suka ikut tema. Kalau dah nak Raya, bawak lagu raya. Kalau dah nak Krismas, bawak lagu Krismas. Cuma Deepavali jer aku tak buat. Hahah.

Agak sukar bawak lagu ni, dan aku hampir fedup. Suka tengok Andy Lau dalam video klip lagu ni menyebabkan aku tergerak nak bawak. Melodi dia pun best. Walaupun yang irritating pasal lagu CNY ni ialah bunyi 'dung-dung-cheh'. Sangat annoying okay? So, Chinese composers, next time buat lagu CNY tolonglah buang bunyi tu. Sakit telinga okay? Hehe. Tapi takper, aku cuba sehabis baik utk buat lagu ni. Walaupun pronounciation aku sucks, tapi dah belajar sikit2, so should be okay.

Lagu ni mengingatkan aku dengan zaman matrikulasi kat Kolej MARA Kulim dulu. Waktu tu, tak ramai kawan yang minat lagu2 English, so aku share interest aku dengan kawan aku waktu tu, namanya Zulfadly.
